Are the summer holidays over yet?

Not yet. Almost.

Is it time to get back to work already? Not yet, but time is running out. End of August, back to school, Labour Day, whatever your end of summer milestone is, it’s approaching soon.
Make the most of the last few weeks of relaxing summer holidays before turning attention back to work, business, and careers.
What to do?
Read a good book outside your usual choices and appreciate the storytelling and the use of language; think deep thoughts about the life you live and where it’s leading you; enjoy intelligent conversation and the exchange of ideas and experiences unrelated to the current stressful and disturbing events of the world around us; expand your horizons by discovering new artistic and cultural pleasures; find communities of like-minded friends to share experiences and create new memories worth keeping.
Then as the focus shifts back to work, consider the new knowledge, information, and ideas you’ve been exposed to and assess the implications for your own projects and priorities. Check your pulse. Are you getting excited about the possibilities? Are you more motivated to get back on track or to change tracks? More ambitious or more cautious?
Set the decisions aside for now and enjoy the remaining summer days!
