Applying Intelligence.

Artificial or not?

Everyone everywhere is talking about artificial intelligence – how they use it, what’s so amazing or terrifying about it, how it impacts their own lives now and what it will change for them in the future.
The most common observation is that we now have to be more careful in applying our own intelligence to everything we do. Not only are we doubting the truth in what we see and read, we are also losing confidence in our own expertise.
Our education, training and experience are no longer sufficient to convince our audiences of the validity of our advice or opinions. They will check our answers against those of AI and our own self-doubt grows with the awareness that AI has unlimited instant access to global databases, can analyze and synthesize in milliseconds, and will articulate better answers and communicate them more coherently than most of us are able to do.
Does anybody need to pay for expert advice anymore? Does natural human intelligence have a place anymore?
It would be convenient to dismiss AI as simply a powerful high-speed clone of the guys who used to tell us, “I read it on the internet.” Can AI get beyond search, synthesize and regurgitate to lead the way in pure research, creative
endeavours, and innovation as well?
The ability to learn, generate logical conclusions, create useful applications to improve productivity and performance, and communicate in clear and simple language makes AI a valuable resource in all those areas.
Be wary but also be aware of all the intelligence available to you – artificial or not.
Be better. Do Better. Be an Enlightened Entrepreneur.
