Maybe they’re right

You’re doing it wrong

Sometimes you have to accept harsh criticism. Maybe they’re right. Don’t take it personally. Don’t immediately react emotionally to defend your bruised ego.
But do check the credentials of the critic. Do they have the expertise and qualifications to offer insights or perspectives that you’ve missed? Are they willing to give you helpful advice on how to respond to the criticism?
Do they have good intentions? Don’t attempt to psychoanalyze the critic but do question their motives. Are they trying to raise you up or tear you down. Do they have a personal agenda?
Then decide which is the right response:
“Thank you for your input, I’m working on doing better and appreciate your support,” or
“Thank you for your input, please don’t take it personally if I choose to ignore it.”
Everyone will claim they’re “just trying to be helpful,” but some have another agenda that is not helpful at all. They’re the ones to ignore. You may even have to brush them off like the annoyingly persistent insects they have chosen to be.
Work with the willing and able to accomplish what you want to do in spite of the detractors who say it can’t be done.
Be better. Do Better. Be an Enlightened Entrepreneur.
